The Virtual Open Door is the name of the computer suite at the Salvation Army, Harrington Street, Preston, PR1 7BN

The new state of the art, multimedia facilities became available for use from June 2007. They are free to use for local residents and available on an open access basis at times advertised on this web site. We are now a UK Online Centre (UK Online Centre No is 3420428)

In partnership with other organisations we are able to run a number of courses and projects such as:

■ Basic skills in reading, writing and IT skills for office work

■ Introduction to digital photography

■ Community multimedia and arts projects

■ Building a web sites for community groups
